ABSTRACT:
Background: The aim of present study involves the Design, Formulation and Evaluation of herbal hair oil using plant materials for to enhance the hair growth activity. The prepared herbal hair oil evaluated different parameters within the acceptable limits. Such as physical appearance, pH, viscosity, acid value, saponification value, sedimentation, skin irritation, volunteer studies. Methodology: Various herbal extracts, including Base Oil, Coconut Oil, Lavender Oil, Castor Oil, Rosemary Oil, Til Oil, Vitamin E oil was prepared and incorporated into Amla, Bringhraj, Hemp, Brahmi, Neem, Fenugreek, Hibiscus, Ashwagandha, Heena, Arjuna, Green Tea, Coffee, Kalonji Seed. Phytochemical screening, organoleptic evaluation, chemical analysis (acid value, saponification value), viscosity, sensitivity studies, and in-vivo hair growth activity were conducted. Results: Organoleptic evaluation revealed characteristic odours and colors across formulations. Chemical analysis showed acceptable values for acid value (2.64 mg KOH/g), saponification value (186.7 mg KOH/g), viscosity (28.12 cp.) and. In-vivo hair growth activity (volunteer study) demonstrated to significant enhance hair compared to controls. Discussion: The designed formulated herbal hair oils exhibited promising physicochemical properties, efficacy, safety, for human being and hair growth promotion in human models. These findings suggest their potential as natural remedies for hair care. Conclusion: Herbal hair oils formulated in this study show significant potential for promoting hair growth and addressing hair-related concerns. The significant efficacy across multiple parameters among the formulations. Further research and volunteer study are warranted to validate their efficacy and safety for human use.
